Step 1: Choose Your Spreadsheet Platform

The first decision is where your tracking sheet will live. Google Sheets is the most popular choice because it is free, cloud-based, and accessible on any device. Microsoft Excel is also excellent if you prefer desktop applications. Apple Numbers works well for users in the Apple ecosystem.

For this tutorial, we recommend Google Sheets because it enables real-time collaboration and automatic cloud backup. If you already have a Google account, you can start immediately without any additional setup.

Step 2: Create Your Column Structure

Open a new blank spreadsheet and create your header row. The header row defines what information you will capture for each order. A good header row is the foundation of a tracking system that scales.

Enter the following headers in the first row: Order ID, Product Link, Category, Item Name, Size, Color, Quantity, Unit Price, Total Price, Order Date, Status, Seller, Tracking Number, Notes. Each header gets its own column. This structure may seem detailed, but it ensures you never miss critical information.

Step 3: Add Your First Order

Visit the OOCBuy store and find a product you want to track. Copy the product URL from your browser address bar. Return to your spreadsheet and paste the URL into the Product Link column of the second row.

Continue filling in the remaining columns for this order. Add the category, your selected size, the color you chose, and the price. Set the status to "Ordered" and add the order date. Congratulations, you have just created your first tracked order.

Step 4: Format for Readability

Raw spreadsheets can be hard to read. Apply formatting to make your data clear at a glance. Bold the header row, freeze the first row so it stays visible while scrolling, and set column widths so links are not cut off.
